played the above guitar today, could not put it down.beat the epiphone that we had there hands down on look and sound(great choice of sounds with the stock pickups, and the coil tap switch just topped it off)priced them on soundslive.co.uk,they will deliver one to my house for less than 450euro.

Quality guitars no doubt. The coil splitter makes it even sweeter :D

    i'm tempted

but a les paul type with 25.5 scale

defeats the purpose, i have 25.5 scale guitars, the whole point of a les paul type to me is the shorter/warmer/easier to play scale

Not a fan of the sound, a guitarist was playing one before in an audition I went to. It sounded very stratty... that's nice in a strat but meh...

know what you mean about the strat sound, but i actually found it very versatile,i will have another few goes of it in the next few weeks, and i will be able to make a better judgement of it.but first impressions were great.
