DVD writer won't change regions

    I've an Emprex DVDRW 1016UB external writer and my OS is Windows XP SP2

    My problem is that I switched it from Region 2 (my normal DVD region) to Region 1 for a DVD and now it won't switch back.

    I know about the limited numbers of times that you can switch DVD regions on drives and this one hasn't exhausted its quota. Admittedly it's down to its last change but Windows knows this. It asks me if I'm sure as it's the last time I'll be able to do it.

    What I'm getting now when I put in a Region 2 DVD is an error message which reads "Unable to change region setting. Please make sure the drive contains a region 2 media and you have administration privileges"

    I have administration privileges and I've tried a couple of different Region 2 DVDs but I'm getting no joy. I also tried to switch the region on a different computer and again, no luck.

    Any ideas?
