Just spotted this Toshiba HD player on iBood for €79.95!
Think it would be worth buying? I'm not in any great rush to get Blu Ray with the current costs - I already have a pretty big collection of normal DVD's and at the very least this would upscale them. Five decent movies with it too plus I'm sure the existing HD-DVD titles available will be available at rock bottom prices

Whats the point in having a collection that relys on a player that doesn't exist anymore ?

It looks like a good upscaler ,but thats all it is really at this stage. It's reflected in the price aswell.

Immediate & cheap access to hundreds of high definition films. There are loads of HD players available!. I have never had a DVD player breakdown.

My question is where can I get a cheap HD-DVD player in Dublin or online. Play.com and Amazon.co.uk won't ship eletronics to Ireland. Power city has the Toshiba EP-30 for €399:eek:

    Thanks all.

iBood have had them more than once, I'd keep an eye out as it may appear again. I got one in the 15th offer for €80 (just arrived today.) I'm looking at it primarily as an upscaling DVD player.

My dad picked one up in either Lidl or Aldi about 2 months ago... it's brilliant! Think it was between 80 and 100 with 250GB hard drive... Have a loada DivX films on it now, no need for discs! Keep an eye on the site and they'll more than likely be doing it again...
