Horse Riding Lessons South Tipperary

Can anyone recommend a good equestrian school in Clonmel area for lessons?
Already know about the school in Clonmel itself and Cahir equestrian centre but just wondering about any others? Daughter has been going to Cahir for 2 years (she's 7) and they do more screaming at the kids than teaching.

There is supposed to be a good one in the Clogheen area but no one seems to know much about it.

You could try the Lalors at Annsfort in Lisronagh (Clonmel) if you want to enquire about lessons

If your taking her to a saturday lesson then they tend to be really busy and full of young kids with little sense... It does take a lot of screaming to keep order on a large lesson of kids and ponies.

You could try taking her to an evening lesson during the week or enquire with the instructor as to when theres a more quiet (ie smaller group number) lesson on that you and your daughter could attend.

there is a riding school near ballyporeen, where you can do lessons, although im not sure when, iv heard cahir has a bad reputation, its near enough to clogheen. the woman that gives the lessons is called marie o brien.

you could try Melody's Riding Stables, Ballymacarbry but i think they only cater for more experienced riders.

Patrica Lalor is a very good instructor. A lot of schools have closed down in south tipp. Does she have her own pony? maybe get a free lance instructor?
