It is indeed! They do great pitta, the chips are gorgeous and the burger are proper homemade ones.

heh, that takes me back. There was a wise old bar fly where I grew up who had many a wise saying, one of which being 'you wouldn't get a chipper of a Tuesday'.

Good to see this still applies somewhere, 'twas no wheres near Cork though.

Good to see this still applies somewhere, 'twas no wheres near Cork though.

One of the reasons I have heard to explain why they are closed on Tuesdays is that they are Jehovah's Witnesses and go to some sort of service on Tuesday. There are a few other reasons flying around too, but I can't remember what they are!

Anyhow, people have a habit of thinking their local chipper is the best.
I got tired of listening to how good "Donkey (Reilly?)'s" in Limerick was, and how legendary, from my friend, a native.

Went there, and it was fairly sh1t. Below average.

No idea what the fuss is about Burdocks either, meh.

I tried administrator for administrator and password for password, it didn't work.

There was a fair crowd in there last night for a Sunday! Very fast service too.

Service is really fast, but it needs to be because they get so much business. The queue usually goes out the door and down the road.
