Paypal dispute, Items not received, when to escalate to claim?

I purchased some coffee from this site on the 3rd of March. To date I have received nothing from the seller except the receipt email from paypal. On the 17th of March I started a paypal dispute. I have still heard nothing from the seller. One thing of note, when submitting the dispute there was a message on screen from the seller basically saying don't submit a dispute, but email them instead. Most strange.

Now I have given them 3 days to respond to the dispute and I think I should escalate to a claim but when I go to do it paypal says that you only gave them 3 days and maybe I should allow them more time to respond.

Questions. Should I escalate to a claim at this point? Also would going to a claim after 3 days of a dispute prejudice my case against the seller?

I would escalate whenever you feel like it. Had you already tried to contact the seller yourself first (which they recommend?) Have they emailed you to say your order was shipped, as they say they will in their shipping info. If not, and if theyre not replying to emails escalate away.:)

The only email I have received is the auto email you get from paypal when you pay. I have heard nothing else. No shipping email, no email at all and they have not responded to the dispute process.
