Good Friday suggestions

    A couple of female friends of mine (no laughing at the back!) are visiting dublin Easter weekend as part of a group of 20-30 girls (think its a hen) unaware of the whole good friday thing here.

    Basically they are only here for 2 things (in no particular order) drink and mickey.

    So im looking for a few suggestions for what i can tell them to do on friday instead. Maybe a train to belfast or a trip to er, glendalough?

    Any suggestions?

    Booze cruise to Holyhead?

    iirc Hotel bars can still serve, but I could be wrong.I think i remember being served in a hotel bar in westport a few good fridays ago.

    going to see sligo v bohs myself, was looking forward to few beers before and after the game as well, looks like will have to stock up from the offie on thursday now,

    tell them to.......get a time machine, go back to when they were booking it and research their destination / timing better.

    Failing that, some hotels will still serve alcohol...so depending where they are staying maybe just a few drinks in the res bar might be in order?

    Went to Holyhead the Ulysees ferry a few years ago myself.

    The ferry was absolutely hopping. Everyone absolutely locked and bands blasting out the tunes.

    Mighty craic.

    Troll. Don't be ridiculous. Why would you sent them out of Dublin? There is pretty much nothing interesting in Ireland outside of Dublin unless you're interested in farms and bog lands.

    And this is a problem?

    1) Buy in plenty of drink

    2) Get T01 to pay a flying visit home and invite him over

    3) Get him to sign a script for viagra and pick it up on the way

    4) Install hidden cameras in order to recoup cost of alcohol

    Do I have to do ALL the thinking around here! :rolleyes:

    Any boards volunteers wanna get in on the action besides the reliable T01 and randylonghorn? They can take about 5 each so i will need some volunteers to look after the rest. Must be able to sing Whiskey in the jar or molly malone to take part.
