Nice humbuckers for a blues guitar?

Thinking of changing the humbucker picksup on the aul' Ibanez cos i think the original ones sound a bit 'cheap'.

It's the Artcore AS73 model and I'm loving the feedback I get off it.

The dirtier the better. Maybe a 'vintage' kind of sound.
    Recommendations?

    tata,
    Lauren

Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position and Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck position. Tried and tested formula! :)

Even Seymour himself recommends this pair. ;)

You can buy both together in a pack even!

    €122 from Thomann.

I never bought stuff off ebay.
What will happen once I click on 'commit to buy'?

You pay them through Paypal and they post you the pickups. I bought that set from Siglers before, they were deadly to deal with and that €93 includes your postage too :)

    actually, i have a question.
How do I replace the damn things. Is it difficult? Do i need other tools than just a couple of screw drivers?

You'll need that soldering iron you were going to borrow for the pedal ;)

You can get em for about €20 in Atlantic or just get a guitar shop to do it for you.

    Ouch!

Yeah, you gotta pay the man! :(

Just out of interest, what company shipped it (usps, dhl, fedex, ups....??)

FWIW if they cost 93 incl shipping, then 40 seems pretty high for VAT and duty ?
(unless they're using the new maths:D)

If it was FedEx, they charge a €15 "handling fee" or something like that. Bit ridiculous really.

    UPS do the same.

That's why me loves USPS, or EMS. <B :p

Ah crap, sorry to hear that Lauren. If you ever get the choice ship with USPS. I didn't get hit when I ordered that set from Sigler.

It was FedEx. Charged me 37 quid VAT.
Not to worry, I know for next time. It still comes out cheaper than buying in Ireland!!
