Heading off for a long holiday and herself got a dinky little Samsung YP-Z5 mp3 player. The only problem is, it is recharged via the USB port on a computer and seeing as I am not allowed bring the laptop with me, I was wondering if there is any gadget that will allow me to charge the mp3 player?

I suppose what I am looking for is a device you can plug into the wall, which will then connect to the USB cable, which will then charge the mp3 player (so Wall socket<-->USB<-->mp3 player)

    Does such a device exist?

You could try one of these:

    Maplin USB Charger

if you're in a hurry and cant wait for delivery.

I got one in Maplin in Blanchardstown for ~€20 last year pre-holiday to charge my creative MP3 Player...worked pretty well!!

That's excellent, exactly what I am looking for. The flight is on Wednesday, so off to Maplin's for me tomorrow.

Regarding Google, I didn't know exactly what to Google. My initial searches weren't turning up much.

Was in asimilar pickle myself. Got the Jivo international charger for an ipod in an o2 shop. It is basically a mains plug with a usb connection and handy thing is it has the adaptors for other countries too. You can just plug your chrging wire into this and then into wall €25. Have a look at one, very handy thing especially for going abroad
