I have a Netopia wireless router with Eircom Broadband too. My brother has a PSP and the Internet used to work grand. All of a sudden it's stopped working. His browser will not connect to the Internet, even when we follow all of your instructions and the sigal strength is 100% and the test passes.

We've had error code 8001007D, 8041040F, and loads of others. Nothing will WORK and he's driving me mad!!! When googling I get all these things about MAC filtering and everything, but I'm not an IT student and I'm afraid to go messing with things like that, even if I could FIND it.

Could anyone pleeeeeease help me?

Connection to the server failed
A DNS error has occured
(80410410)

Anyone have any idea what the hell this means or how to sort it out cause i really need to update my psp?

Great tutorial! but do any of you guys know how to get the psp headset working with online games? I tried it ages ago with the psp and it wouldnt work so i rang sony, they told me to ring eircom who told me to ring netopia and when i emailed them and they told me that eircom is supposed to cover that i gave up!

but now i have a ps3 and its the same problem with that. when i rang sony they told me i need to "activate DMZ on my router" but eircom wont tell me how! i was messing around with settings but no success, maybe one of you guys know? thanks

I have recently resolved this problem with my PS3. You need to open certain ports. Help in the rticle below:

your router could be "bricked" mine linksys netropia wgts or watever their called broke because it overheated and only worked half the time and eircom told us that they weren't aware that the linksys was even capeable of working with it so theres no help from their end!
