Planning to travel up from Dublin for a show and stay a few nights so I'm ideally looking for a hotel near the arena and the train station. basically I'm afraid of getting lost!! I have no idea where to start. can anyone recommend a decent hotel and the best way/ service to travel up with?

We went up a couple of months ago and stayed in the Jury's Inn in Belfast ~ there are loads of hotels all fairly much along the same road but this was reasonably priced and got good reviews on Tripadvisor. We found that it was fine ~ asked for and got a room at the back on one of the higher floors so there was no room/outside noise.

It was about a 10-12 minute walk to the Odyssey but it was easy to find ~ not sure about the train station cos we drove...

    I'd recommend it....

I got the Aircoach up - it stops right outside Jurys Inn. Both were very good. The aircoach is only €16 return -v- about €50 for the train and takes around the same amount of time, it's quite a pleasant trip. You pick it up at the airport. Jurys Inn is right in the centre so it's near shops, restaurants etc.

The weather was dreadful so got a taxi which was less than a fiver (sterling).
