For the most part I'm sure the tutorials work for most people, but then there are a few people for whom they they don't, then there add-on tutorials are written for them and another and then another. I can see from the other forums that I'm not only one having the same problems.

No you had already unlocked the phone restoring 1.1.3 does not change the baseband so the unlock remains

All you needed was a Activate and Jailbreak but you chose to attempt to unlock a baseband that was already unlocked not surprisingly the software hung.

Now update the installer and the bsd subsystem while you are in 1.1.2 when you have bsd on 2.1 then update to 1.1.3 jailbreak etc with ziphone and then reinstall app installer and bsd subsystem

I'm assuming when you say downgrade to 1.1.2, I shift restore using iTunes.

Is this the PC program I should use? I get an error saying "This utility can only be used if you have already run Oktoprep before updating to 1.1.2. Jailbreak failed." This is the only link to a PC program that jailbreaks a 1.1.2 phone I can find on hackthatphone.com.

Some others in the same boat as me have given up saying they're waiting for SDK. What is SDK?

Hi I'm having trouble with sendsong. I have a 1.1.2otb software unlocked with geohot's hack. The version of sendsong on Installer is only for firmware 1.1.3, so I downloaded one if Ericas earlier versions from her website, unzipped it, and transferred all the files via SSH to the applications folder. The sendsong icon now appears on my iphone screen , but when I press it, the screen stays white for about 20 secs before going back to the main screen. I've tried 4 or 5 of the earlier versions of sendsong but always the same result. Anybody got any ideas ?

My iphone is from US. I currently have a turbosim installed so I can use it. This has prob been covered loads of times already but I want to be sure before I carry out the upgrade cos I love my iphone and dont really want to be without it for long.
- I assume that my Baseband is 3.9
- Do I just run an upgrade using iTunes?
- After that I use Ziphone 2.4 and include switches z and n?
- i assume I dont need to unlock as its already unlocked or is it?
- Will installer be still there or do I need to put it on? If so how do I install installer? Windows or Mac instructions are good as I have both.
- Does iWorld work with 1.1.3 or do I still need it?

Cant think of anymore questions. If there is anything I forgot or should know can you please tell me. Thanking everyone in advance?

You do not have to wait for the sdk it is completely fixable now I have already fixed phones with the same problem


If you can not update the bsd and installer in 1.1.1 run oktoprep and UPDATE to 1.1.2 and jailbreak using the pc make sure u tick install ssh then you can install via ssh

As suspected, as soon as I click on Install Appsnap my phone falls back to the "Activate iPhone" screen with a message saying "incorrect SIm, Insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate iPhone".

As would i my husband is over the moon with his they sent me a screen protector in the post aswell very happy with them
