    I've tried re-installing and updating BSD after I re-installed the installer with the same result. It says "downloading package" and nothing happens forever.

    Community sources is not in my install menu. I uninstalled the community sources I had and now I have a bunch of uncategorized sources.

    If my BSD is not up to date how to I update to 2.1?

    When you go to reinstall BSD do you see Clear Queue if yes click that then click reinstall till clear queue is gone



    If you go to install now you should see community sources install it

    Then it will refresh your sources then check see if there is a BSD in install


    When installing any of these or reinstalling clear queue if it comes up

    I cleared the queue. tried to re-install BSD. Same result. nothing happens.

    Community sources is not in the install list.

    I've probably spent 30 hours pissing about with this now. I'll pay someone to sort it out for me before I throw in the fire out of frustration.

    Did you try the boss prefs

    Pain in the arse but Ziphone has had various issues and Zibri has been updating it on a daily sometimes more often basis

    might be a case of downloading the latest one and doing it again

    Started again.

    Reloaded 1.1.3 using shift restore in iTunes. activated and jailbroke the phone using ziphonegui.

    Back to where I was before.

    Phone refuses to download the BSD subsystem.

    Phone now refuses to re-install the installer.

    "Package download failed, cannot connect to host"

    Community sources not listed in installer.

    Ok try this then downgrade to 1.1.2 and do a jailbreak in the old way not using ziphone it is a pc program you can find a link on hackthatphone.com


    Now update the installer and the bsd subsystem while you are in 1.1.2 when you have bsd on 2.1 then update to 1.1.3 jailbreak etc with ziphone and then reinstall app installer and bsd subsystem

    Does Locate Me in Maps in 1.1.3 work in Ireland? Just hangs for me, I'm on Vodafone.

    ok im going to take the plunge and update to 1.1.3, i noticed that the ziphone 2.4 is now safe to use so where do i start, im on 1.1.1 unlocked with anysim , do i restore to 1.1.3 first and should i remove anything from the phone first?

    remove all your apps except bsd and installer make sure that bsd is updated it should be 2.1 update installer if you have to then UPDATE to 1.1.3 via iTunes then run ziphone click a j & u then start when's done reinstall bsd and installer then install community sources then app support for 1.1.3 thats it

    In NYC, all the Apple stores in Manhattan are sold out of the 16GB iPhone, and AT&T
    stores won't sell me one without a contract. :(

    It's some consolation to be typing this from a new Macbook Air though. :}

    That's rough tibor. The girlfriend's parents were in a shop in central NY that tried to sell them the 16GB instead of a 8GB. No idea where though.

    I want to use ZiPhone 2.4 to activate / jailbreak my 1.1.2 ootb jailbroken iphone
    but how do i upgrade to 1.1.3, do i need to download the 1.1.3 firmware and shift restore/upgrade as previously?

    tell the at&t store that you are buying it as a gift don't let on at all that you are taking it out of the country they will lie and tell you of won't work or that apple can unlock it remotely just say doesn't matter it is staying in the US.

    If you say it is for a gift then it gets you out signing a contract

    90% of the tutorials I try don't do what they say on the tin.

    After hitting a brick wall trying to download the BSD subsystem I reloaded 1.1.3 and tried this ziphone 2.4 method

    Instead of waiting 45 seconds for the phone to reboot I've waited 45 minutes for nothing to happen.

    It would be nice if someone told me something that actually works!!!

    Ok I give up. I've spent too much time on this. Nothing works.

    I'm in Dublin this week. Will pay someone to sort out my iPhone for me.

    Failing that if someone can give me proper instructions on-line (perhaps via msn or skype) that actually work!!! I promise to transfer €50

    You need to simply to do this

    I used Ziphone V.2 on my Iphone bought last week in the California, I paid cash in a AT&T store because the Apple shop wouldn't sell it without a debit or credit card!

    Down grade the base band to 3.9

    Thats because your phone is already unlocked you tried to unlock it again hardly surprising that the software hangs


    Honestly your attitude stinks
    Geohotz developed the unlock and gaave it away for free
    Zibri has spent weeks developing and improving Ziphone and he gives it away for free
    The tutorials are written by people to help you again for free and advice is offered here again for free

    The program works

    The tutorials work

    And the advise you have been given here works

    If you can not follow the instructions perhaps you should leave it to someone who can.

    My phone was not already unlocked. I reloaded 1.1.3 at which point it has to be unlocked again.

    I can follow instructions fine. I worked as a network administrator for five years and I have a diploma in computer programming so I'm pretty savvy when it comes to technology.

    For the most part I'm sure the tutorials work for most people, but then there are a few people for whom they they don't, then there add-on tutorials are written for them and another and then another. I can see from the other forums that I'm not only one having the same problems.
