The real point emerges. You just don't like them.

I cant stand them, they look ridiculous and also i cant see how they serve a purpose when worn in a club. If your head is cold wear a beanie.

That's the whole matter of preference. I don't like beanies. Don't like their name either. Sounds like a stupid person made it up. Sorry. I retract that. Apologies. And I've no basis.

Appearance is a purpose, as I've already said. And their looking ridiculous is your opinion. You can't expect everyone to dress the way you want them to. I don't like people wearing tracksuits, but i don't go around stealing people's sweatshirts off them.

This could nearly be the death of this thread. Flogging a dead horse at the moment. I think we learned that certain people can be just right ****horns and get their kicks out of scorning those that are not them. And they do it packs I find. Oh, the safety of the pack. I don't even think that's worth a thread of it's own.

Why the fúck are you wearing a hat in a pub or a club anyway? Stinks of pretentiousness to be honest

What if someone has a really bad hair day and throws on a hat on (be it a beenie or whatever) and goes out for a few drinks in a club or pub? No big deal? It's like wearing a tie, they serve no real purpose but people still wear them.

They have a fine selection in Boyers on North Earl Street at the moment.

    That's where I got mine.

Decent ones on ebay too. There's a hat shop in Stephen's Green that does em. Should be grand.

Pretty much all things in fashion are horrible these days anyway. Those hats and scarves seen in the OP's picture along with skinny jeans are absolutely hilarious. These people wear them thinking they are original but also trying to be like Pete Doherty, Noel Fielding etc when in fact they just end up looking ridiculous.

That wasn't my picture, just to clarify.

I totally agree with you on people who see it as a right to take a hat off someones head, i work on the door in a club and if i see someone doing it ill tell them once to give it back, if they have to be told again they are out. I just cant see the point in wearing it in a club, there are cloakrooms in every night club in the land, leave it in there.

But then they wouldn't be cool! (In their eyes)

Look - I also think wearing hats indoors is pretty gay - but that's not the point. The point is, some drunk knob-end still doesn't have the right to take it off someones head, put it on their own, and start shouting "way-hey, look at me I have a hat on" like a retarded goof who thinks they're hilarious.

THAT is the point. 'What-you-think' of people wearing hats indoors isn't the topic title, mate, so get over it: we get how you feel about it already.

I want a stetson and a long coat.
    Then I'd be cool.

    I love my hat...

I wear it almost all the time when I am out.

I have one cool hat, it's an Australian leather cowboy hat, I love it so much I'd never dare wear it out drinkin'.

I had an australian one before my current one...but its very old and torn...spends its days asleep on my press rather then going out on the town.

We must get around to doing a spin off film from All Hat Jazz to tell the back story of the Australian hat.

It's all ya can expect wearing a hat out on a night on the town man.

I wore a hat once, looked like an absolute scumbag with it though. Not wearing one again!

I would like to agree with the people who think people who wear hats are tossers.

I have a fedora but only a gimmicky thing, for dressing up and ****. I'd never wear it out seriously.

How about why must the tosser be so close minded? If someone want's to wear a hat, let them wear a hat.

If this thread was about people who get drunk and try to put their hat on your head, we might give a toss about what you have to say. But it's not. So we don't.

Well maybe when people IRL walk into the pub and see the sea of hats they'll think it's coming back into fashion and run out to buy their very own.

*spreads arms outward gracefully* and the revolution has begun :)
