So ive just downloaded the poker client, had a look around. I see that there is a 5/10 game going so i create an account, lodge e1000 to take the free seat. I try to transfer from my sportsbook account to my poker account and i get an error message, i try again and get the same message. I call support, and ive to send through my CJA stuff before I can transfer more than 500 to the poker account. Withdraw my 1k as id be on tilt by the time id get to sit at the table.. pity.

You can qualify via a range of ways, primarily through the weekly VIP point feeder

What are all the other ways to qualify?.

There are daily satellites to the weekly feeders and also a weekly freeroll / seat giveaway for all new players each week. Also look out for our rake races and total seat giveaways during major sporting event periods, e.g. Cheltenham, 6 nations etc.

PS. Big fan of your blog sir - easily one of the most entertaining.

is this that swedish mother site, with that same skin banking facilities as gutshot poker that rips off on exchange rates?

    if not i'll consider..................

    Hi Lucky,
Also, I cannot name names but there are 3 or 4 major gambling sites abut to launch on the network over the next couple of months.

I would be inclined to sell the increasing fish factor to players on a forum like this. No-one wants to play against Scandies all day long, with the fish from Cantor and their British pub poker and the innumerable degenerate gamblers that Pinnies and yourselves will bring the network will be more playable.

Best of luck with it, look forward to seeing what innovation you can produce. I don't well understand the google rankings but searching up "betdaq poker" doesn't bring any joy on the front page...but I recall Betdaq historically sucking in that regard. Oh and fire whoever chose purple as the table and lobby colour :)

Eoin - Gutshot is on Microgaming these days, it used to be on 24hNetwork a year ago but that uses Euro at the tables so it must be a Microgaming thing you experienced.

Yeah pokerscout is where I checked its traffic, it's a long way off the big boys, but I suppose it has enough players that it's not a ghost town of a network either.

I notice that pokertracker doesn't import the network HH's this is a big minus imo. how come that's the case? Do HH's get stored on user's pc Are the hand histories in an awkward format? Os is it that the PT guys have not gotten around to implementing importing for the network yet?

Anyways best of luck with the launch.

not sure if my sarcometer is working right or not today :p. So is the software genuinely good or was this a boardie type sarco reply ;)
Poker Tracker does import the hands. Just go to B2B network icon.

And that wasn't a sarcastic response, I genuinely did like the software but thought it was a pity that it was always quiet when i wanted to play.

    Hi there,

We are an integrated partner and use all of our own banking and customer service. We take our exchange rate from a live AIB feed which is 100% reliable and transparent. I can assure you there is no ripping off here.

    Hi HotSpur,

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I believe the SEO for Betdaq is being looked at as we speak so we should be back to no.1 on the google ranking asap.

Sorry you don't like the purple :( but on a positive note I can assure you there are plenty of fish on and coming to the network :D. Over the next 3 months there will a significant jump in liquidity.

Thanks again and good luck at the tables on and offline.

Entraction is in euro, deposits, withdrawals and play.

Is it different on Betdaq, will deposits/withdrawals have to be in $ and transfered to €?

All poker play is in Euro. However if you have an Exchange account in either GBP or USD then you will need to convert to Euro to play poker. This is done within your cashier screen.

Any problems at all just let me know.

Standard proceedure across most poker rooms that are on a network - except some rooms don't request the documents until point of requesting cashout from the site!

It is also a major part of compliance with the Gambling Comission.

Point taken though and it is something I am looking into changing asap.

    Thanks for the feedback.

It's a very good sign that Betdaq sent someone over to boards who actually knows what he is talking about.

    Nice work.

    I was thinking that.

Good to see an Irish company offering a competitive deal as well.

    Hi All,

I have just spoken with our security department and asked about the deposit limits issue.

Currently we are using 192.com's professional services for verifying customers - but unfortunatley they only cover UK residents (name+address checks, ID verification etc etc).

We are reviewing all security procedures for Irish customers too and hope to have a similar solution for you asap. Until then please be assured we will do everything in our power to make sure your ID verification is as painless as possible.

On the positive note I am happy to tell you that Entraction has pretty much the lowest relative level of fraud of any poker network so you can be sure all games are being played fairly and monitored closely. I have personally spent a lot of time with the Entraction Fraud team and their level of competance and poker fraud knowledge is incredibly impressive. That combined with Betdaq procedures makes Betdaq Poker a very secure poker room.

Thanks for all the support so far. If you have any further suggestions or feedback I will be delighted to hear from you.

    GL.

    Ross.

Loving this on the betdaq website:

    Live Event Rewards
It pays to be seen wearing Betdaq gear!
Every week a Betdaq representative will be visiting the Sporting Emporium Casino in Dublin to play one of their weekly tournaments. If we see you make the final table wearing a Betdaq cap or t-shirt we will reward you with €50 straight into your Betdaq account! If you win the event we will reward you with €150 into your account!

We will be distributing Betdaq Poker merchandise over the coming weeks and begin the SE visits soon after. I will make sure you receive the goodies.

In the mean time perhaps you would like to join Betdaq Poker's community, e.g. write a short article of a recent poker adventure? Perhaps you will make it onto our website and win €100 directly into your account!

    Hello all,

I would like to run a promotion specifically for the Boards.ie poker forum(s) members as a way to encourage you to try out Betdaq Poker.

I want to offer value and fun in one package and would like to hear your thoughts as to what types of promos you would most like from us?

Obviously there is a wide range of options:
    - a freeroll tournament, maybe a €2500 freeroll for the first 100 boards real money sign ups?
    - special deposit / sign-up bonuses
    - free sports bets
    - a WSOP satellite package (one of the smaller events)?

    etc etc.

As a boards and poker enthusiast what would you most like to see from us? The key is that I want to offer good value to you all.

The benefits of hosting a Boards.ie freeroll or satellite to WSOP is that you can then still avail of the first time sign-up bonuses too. But, I am sure you all have many great ideas - let's work out a good plan together!

Let me know what you think and after I have had a range of responses I will go with the general consensus and begin implementing the promo (next week).

Best Regards and best of luck to all on and off the felt,

Ross Glacken - Betdaq Online Gaming Manager.

    - a WSOP satellite package (one of the smaller events)?
Considering the fact that travel expense is very large for a WSOP package, any event that isn't the ME isn't really worth it.

It would be far better to do a sat to an irish event, there are plenty coming up, JPs Masters, Winter Fest, waterford, kilarney etc

This way more tickets can be given out for the same outlay
