    Hello Boards,

My name is Ross Glacken and I am the Online Gaming Manager for Betdaq.com.

I have spoken with a Boards Mod and received approval to create this post.

I am excited tell you all that Betdaq has recently launched Betdaq Poker It is an exciting new poker room and has many great promotions to go with it - as well as a brand new sportsbetting exchange website.

I know many of you are as crazy about poker as I am so I am sure you will like some of the promotions we are running:
    • Our flagship promo is 'The Betdaq €100,000 Poker Bonanza'. This will be an online / offline tournament with a Guaranteed €100,000 prizepool. The final table will be played live in The Sporting Emporium, Dublin. €75,000 will be to play for on the final table and €25,000 will be distributed to the rest of the field. Everyone who plays the grand final wins real money! You can qualify via a range of ways, primarily through the weekly VIP point feeder (you earn VIP points for every hand raked). We also have daily feeders to these feeders! NB: If we register more than 200 players to the grand final we will increase the prizepoll for every additional player that enters.
    • We offer up to 60% cashback. I.e. money back into your account for every raked hand you play. Please see our promotions page - VIP cashback for full details.
    • We are running weekly VIP Sports Package giveaways. We have teamed up with a VIP ticketing agency to bring you to the front lines of the world's greatest sporting events. Even better, if you do not wish to go to such events you can redeem the voucher for entry to a poker tournament or even cash into your account. It is a winner takes all weekly €1500 package.
    • We run Bi-weeekly Gadget Giveaway freerolls, e.g. this week and next you can win iPod Touches, Nanos and Shuffles.
    • We run a weekly Betdaq Bounty tournament
    • We run daily cash freerolls and free bet giveaways for all users - even if you don't have a real money account.
    • We offer a range of 100% deposit bonuses to cater to all levels of players.
I am rambling here.....I guess there is a lot to be excited about!

There are many other great features and giveaways within the poker room and really we are here to cater to you! We are going to give what poker players want and we are excited for you to join the Betdaq Poker community and reward you for it too ;-)

I look forward to hearing any and all feedback on the new site and poker room - be it positive or negative comments ;-)

Also, if anyone would like to PM me for further details please feel free.

I wish you the best of luck at the tables! As Mike Sexton would say "May your cards be live and your pots be monsters!".

    Ross Glacken.

He talked to me DeV, and I was kind of unsure about it but considering Mermaid, PPP and Betfair have had something like this in the past then if it was created with full openness and so on with no links then it might fly. If it doesn't then grand, your call of course, and I'll know for sure in the future.

[*]We offer up to 60% cashback. I.e. money back into your account for every raked hand you play.
Is this automatic on all accounts?

When is it paid into your account (daily, monthly?), is there a minimum amount of play required to receive the cashback?

  • Business & Finance Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 32,387 Mod ✭✭✭✭DeVore

I've moved it to Events and I'll let it slide.

Mr Betdaq, your launch is the "event", don't consider this a blank chequebook to spam.
5star, its a 50/50 and you are right, others have announced launches here etc so its only fair I guess. Events is a better place for it, I've left a redirect in the other forum...

In order to qualify for the rakeback you must apply for the Gold VIP Scheme. Your rakeback rate is based on the amount of VIP Points you earn per month with 60% only being available to the highest of high rollers. At least that is how it always has been on B2B skins.

Traffic in general is poor and I always struggled to multi-table full ring, even at the micro levels. Full-ring is also only 9 players. I'd let these minor issues slide though because the standard is absolutely woeful there! While the trend is that the games are getting tougher, that's certainly not the case on these skins!

    Hi Ste,

Apologies for missing your reply... as Murderer stated the cashback is paid into your account on a monthly basis... though this is currently under development to allow bi-weekly payments if you so desire.

Entraction Poker Network. Formerly known as 24hNetwork.

Just curious regarding your decision to go on the entraction network. I noticed it's a fairly small network. Are ye hoping that there's more room for growth by joining this network?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 260 ✭✭BetdaqPokerMgr

    Hi Lucky,

The software is really excellent and the developers and team behind the company are first class. Also, I cannot name names but there are 3 or 4 major gambling sites abut to launch on the network over the next couple of months. Right now according to www.pokerscout.com the liquidity is greater than Betfair, Ladbrokes and very close to Crypto. We believe the addition of Betdaq will further enhance it too.
There are also some very innovative software developments coming on the network. One of the reasons we joined was because of the speed and ability of the Entraction development and management team - they are exceptionally receptive to new ideas / change requirements and have the same vision as we do - to offer the best poker platform to all players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

I actually always wondered why the network wasn't that busy, because the software is superior to that offered by many other networks!

    'The Betdaq €100,000 Poker Bonanza'

So i win my way to the final table, and i don't have a drivers license or passport, will i still be able to take my place at the final table in the SE?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 260 ✭✭BetdaqPokerMgr

This is currently under review. I will post more details as I get them.

However, I can assure you we will fully accomodate all players who make the FT. If it is the case we cannot allow under 21's into the SE we will host the Final Table elsewhere.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 260 ✭✭BetdaqPokerMgr

NB: We also host a weekly freeroll on Sunday's 14:00 for all new members (Thurs - Thurs). One seat is awarded to the grand final.

    Hi BCB,

Its probably best if you check out our homepage, promotions- VIP cashback for exact details as I cannot post the payout table image here. if you need any further info just let me know.

NB: If you want to be a part of the VIP cashback program you need to drop us an email and we manually enroll.

i did go to that page as you said, even before i asked you here, there are no details of VIP point accrual or rake schedules available on your site (well none that I can see). Thats why I asked you here. If you can post an exact link that would be great.

Yeah pokerscout is where I checked its traffic, it's a long way off the big boys, but I suppose it has enough players that it's not a ghost town of a network either.

I notice that pokertracker doesn't import the network HH's this is a big minus imo. how come that's the case? Do HH's get stored on user's pc Are the hand histories in an awkward format? Os is it that the PT guys have not gotten around to implementing importing for the network yet?

Anyways best of luck with the launch.

BetdaqPokerMgr was asked not to post links, but since he has been asked for a specific link, I think it is only fair he be let post it.

So feel free to post the link asked for by BCB if there is one available.

Hi BCB, apologies, I overlooked that part of your message.

I see you are correct, we do not have it advertised on the site right now. I will look in to getting it posted

I can tell you that 1 VIP point on Betdaq poker is equal to 40 cents in rake.

If you need any further info just let me know.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 260 ✭✭BetdaqPokerMgr

Hi Lucky, I have not checked the compatibility of PokerTracker but I will investigate and get back to you. I remember during our discussions with Entraction that they highlighted it is supported.
    More info will follow shortly

So ive just downloaded the poker client, had a look around. I see that there is a 5/10 game going so i create an account, lodge e1000 to take the free seat. I try to transfer from my sportsbook account to my poker account and i get an error message, i try again and get the same message. I call support, and ive to send through my CJA stuff before I can transfer more than 500 to the poker account. Withdraw my 1k as id be on tilt by the time id get to sit at the table.. pity.

There are daily satellites to the weekly feeders and also a weekly freeroll / seat giveaway for all new players each week. Also look out for our rake races and total seat giveaways during major sporting event periods, e.g. Cheltenham, 6 nations etc.

PS. Big fan of your blog sir - easily one of the most entertaining.

is this that swedish mother site, with that same skin banking facilities as gutshot poker that rips off on exchange rates?

    Hi Lucky,
Also, I cannot name names but there are 3 or 4 major gambling sites abut to launch on the network over the next couple of months.

I would be inclined to sell the increasing fish factor to players on a forum like this. No-one wants to play against Scandies all day long, with the fish from Cantor and their British pub poker and the innumerable degenerate gamblers that Pinnies and yourselves will bring the network will be more playable.

Best of luck with it, look forward to seeing what innovation you can produce. I don't well understand the google rankings but searching up "betdaq poker" doesn't bring any joy on the front page...but I recall Betdaq historically sucking in that regard. Oh and fire whoever chose purple as the table and lobby colour :)

Eoin - Gutshot is on Microgaming these days, it used to be on 24hNetwork a year ago but that uses Euro at the tables so it must be a Microgaming thing you experienced.

Poker Tracker does import the hands. Just go to B2B network icon.

And that wasn't a sarcastic response, I genuinely did like the software but thought it was a pity that it was always quiet when i wanted to play.

    Hi HotSpur,

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I believe the SEO for Betdaq is being looked at as we speak so we should be back to no.1 on the google ranking asap.

Sorry you don't like the purple :( but on a positive note I can assure you there are plenty of fish on and coming to the network :D. Over the next 3 months there will a significant jump in liquidity.

Thanks again and good luck at the tables on and offline.

Entraction is in euro, deposits, withdrawals and play.

Is it different on Betdaq, will deposits/withdrawals have to be in $ and transfered to €?

All poker play is in Euro. However if you have an Exchange account in either GBP or USD then you will need to convert to Euro to play poker. This is done within your cashier screen.

Any problems at all just let me know.

Standard proceedure across most poker rooms that are on a network - except some rooms don't request the documents until point of requesting cashout from the site!

It is also a major part of compliance with the Gambling Comission.

Point taken though and it is something I am looking into changing asap.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    I was thinking that.

Good to see an Irish company offering a competitive deal as well.

    Hi All,

I have just spoken with our security department and asked about the deposit limits issue.

Currently we are using 192.com's professional services for verifying customers - but unfortunatley they only cover UK residents (name+address checks, ID verification etc etc).

We are reviewing all security procedures for Irish customers too and hope to have a similar solution for you asap. Until then please be assured we will do everything in our power to make sure your ID verification is as painless as possible.

On the positive note I am happy to tell you that Entraction has pretty much the lowest relative level of fraud of any poker network so you can be sure all games are being played fairly and monitored closely. I have personally spent a lot of time with the Entraction Fraud team and their level of competance and poker fraud knowledge is incredibly impressive. That combined with Betdaq procedures makes Betdaq Poker a very secure poker room.

Thanks for all the support so far. If you have any further suggestions or feedback I will be delighted to hear from you.

    GL.

    Ross.
