Can't synchronize with internet clock

So I'm trying to get the right time and I always get an error message, though it might have been my internet connection (Three mobile broadband) but I've tried it on eircom as well and no luck. Tried every internet time server and get the same error message. Anyone know what might be amiss?

What server are you trying to sync with?
Do you have a firewall that might be blocking the NTP port (UDP 123)?

I use "europe.pool.ntp.org", seems reliable.

There's an Irish pool also at ie.pool.ntp.org currently running at 12 servers
