    i know this has been answered but anyone remember emerson thome? did he play for middlesborough? he was a brazillian centre half too.i think he played for sheff wed and chelsea. used to score a good few from set pieces!

    *edit* i just looked him up, apparently he didnt really score that many goals! Must have been my imagination or fifa on the playstation! Played for Sheff wed, chelsea, sunderland, bolton and wigan

    Middlesbrough had some greats in their day alright. Remember Hamilton Ricard? Middlesbrough legend! Thought I'd have a blast from the past on youtube and I found this goal (terrible quality video, but what a goal!)

    Apparently he's playing in Shanghai now.

    He played against Liverpool pre-season in that Asia Cup. He came on as a sub after 10 minutes for the club president. Yes thats right, the club president named himself in the starting XI just so he could play against Liverpool.
