hutton, a reported target for us, is now supposed to be all but signed for spurs. thats woodgate and a rb in a week. Next weekends league game is looking all the more difficult now.

who is going to replace neville? anderson for scholes, nani will come good for giggs and only neville left really. foster, im pretty confident will be a top class keeper instead of v der sar. he must be nearing full fitness in the next few weeks?

Woodgate is injured and Hutton is average. Wouldnt be too worried.

If King is fit then he could make the difference in the league game.

As for pompey tonight I think it will be a tough game. They have the second best away record in the league. The have already takin points of us, Liverpool, and Arsenal this year. Going to be a tough game. IN fact we have a very tough month coming ahead of us.

Ya. A tendancy that has never been displayed by a single successful manager before him.

It's not as if he's been managing Real or Barca is it? We'll see how it works out for him. I can't see them staying up with the crud he is buying.

signing litmanen at whatever age he is now, well over 30, while he is still injured and wont be match fit for the rest of the season possibly is ****ing mind boggling, nevland is strange too, again hes 30.......actually ive lost my train of thought now cause him being 30 depresses me, i remember him when he was 20! :( im getting old now......

Eddie Johnson could tear up the premiership. Apart from that Hodgson is signing players with international caps and years of experience under their belt. Not a bad idea in a relegation battle. We'll see.

Ya, three posts have diluted the Man Utd nature of this thread. Not pure anymore imo.

good stuff, I didn't know it was on the box tonight. Setanta seem to have had a ridiculous amount of United games so far this season, hopefully (in my case) Sky will have the majority of the rest of United's games.

Ugh, this month is gona be hell. You know what that means, rotation rotation rotation. Lots of these games are gona be just 1-0's I think. 3 extremely tough Premiership Ties coming up, and we'll need to be at the top of our game for all of them.

Pompey are still missing a few players due to the ANC. It's going to be a tough game but I'm fairly confident we can get the three points. It's time for Rooney to get the shooting boots on!

    An interesting stat:
    BBC wrote:
Pompey have not claimed any points at Old Trafford since their 0-3 triumph on 19 October 1957. The aggregate score from the seven subsequent League visits is 23-4.

I don't think we'll see Scholes start tonight but we'll probably see him on for the last 20 minutes or so. Vidic is still doubtful with a virus, so we could see the same back 4 that started against Spurs.

I think the team will be:

    Van der Sar

    O'Shea---Ferdinand---Brown---Evra

    Ronaldo--Hargreaves--Anderson--Park

    Rooney
    Tevez

That's the team I'd like to see start but tbh, left wing and centre midfield is anyone's guess. Carrick has been playing fairly well recently and Giggs is better than he was at the start of the season. I'd like to see Nani get a run out aswell but Fergie really seems to be easing him into the first team.

That's very strong, personally I think we could see Carrick and Anderson play tonight.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I think with the amount of options available to us in midfield now, we'll see a lot more rotation. I think Hargreaves and Scholes are the first choice pairing and if both are fit, we'll see them start together in the big league games and the champion's league.

Hopefully can get himself fit aswell and enable us to rest Rooney or Tevez from time to time. Pique is due back soon aswell and that should be a boost to our defensive options. Oh, and Neville should be back in 2 weeks!;)

He'd want to get on it, if he;s not careful he wont have enough games under his belt to get his medal in May!! :D:D

who exactly is in this "movement" to call ronaldo 'viper' ?
ive seen 2 ppl so far...

that is a tough run of games tho, hopefully portsmouths away form will continue and they can get a point out of yas :p
i think only spurs or pompey can drop u points in that run of games. i can see arsenal being dumped out and i cant see lyon beating ya's either.
speaking of the CL, my dream QF tie would be ManYoo vs. barca. it would be an epic game with tevez, rooney & ronnie going against messi, henry and eto'o... i think utd would pip it tho. would be an unbelievable match

I think Hargreaves will def play, he'll be needed just in front of the back four with veda most likely out. But that said any combination of those players should be able to do the job.

Yeah, but that implies he's potent, dangerous or venomous! Don't think Kuyt quite falls into that category!:D

Anyway, looking forward to the game tonight. I have a feeling Rooney will score aswell.

He's as good as Berbatov don't ya know?

Tonights match is tough, especially with Arsenal having the advantage of already playing and winning
