Boards.ie CoD4 Bash ( Fridays )!!

Ok , KamiKazi came up with a great idea of having a regular Boards.ie CoD 4 gathering. He is doing it on his server on Mondays but from the poll it looked like alot of people wanted to do this on Fridays so I thought I would try and accomodate those people that preferred Fridays.

This thread is basically about trying to set up the server so that the majority of people are happy with the server setup.

Now, in Kami's vote it was a close call between hardcore on and off. I will include these options in the poll again incase there is overwhelming support for hardcore on. But seeing as Kami is already running hardcore, if the vote is close ( even if hardcore is slightly in the lead ) , we will probably go with hardcore off, for those people that don't like hardcore.

Also since Kami is running S&D every second map maybe people would prefer not to have that on this server , or to have it only now and again. Just let it be known what you would prefer and I will go with the majority.

For those of you that don't know what PAM4 is, its a mod that is used in most match play. It prevents some weapons and perks from being selectable etc and choppers airstrikes and UAV's are switched off. It does change the damage that some of the weapons cause, simply to try and balance the weapons out . Don't worry about the hassle of trying to set PAM up our server does that for you automatically and it takes less then a minute.




Shipment and Wetworks , what are your feelings on these two maps, do you want them in the rotation??

For those of you who are a bit unsure of how to connect to an IP in CoD4 you do the following.

Copy what is inside the quotations "/connect 217.163.28.165:28960"

Open CoD4 multiplayer

Open the console : to do this press tilde ( the button above tab and beside 1 ) , or to open the full screen console press shift and tilde.

Once the console is open press ctrl and V. This should paste the /connect 217.163.28.165:28960 command that you coppied earlier on into the command line.

Hit enter/return

That should load you into the server.
