Boards.ie Call of Duty 4 Bash

Hi all,

KamiKazi is once again organising a "Boards.ie Call of Duty 4 Bash" on his server tonight (Monday 28th January and hopefully every Monday after that) from 8:00pm onwards.

If you want to play, here are the details:

When: Every Monday from 8:00pm
Server IP: 91.186.3.152:28962
Gametypes: S&D, HQ, TDM and Sabotage

You are all welcome! The more the merrier!

By the by I know that friday got the most votes, I have a server that we could use for a boards bash on fridays, Although maybe people just want to do this once a week ??

Also has there been any thoughts of using PAM 4 ?? It might be something different for people to try.

My server also has PAM 4 on it. Definitely to be considered as "some people" (i.e. ME!) find Juggernaut and Martyrdom and Last Stand etc, etc very frustrating!!!

Christophicus: is your server running in Hardcore mode?

Yeah I would be one of those people I have to say.

No not at the moment, but that can easily be changed if the majority want hardcore. I will start a thread in a few mins about Friday boards bash so we can try and get everything sorted, as in what games modes / maps / settings etc people want to play.

I was asking because I'm not a big fan of Hardcore... Let's do "Hardcore Mondays" on KamiKazi's server and "High Skill Fridays" on your server!

OK that might be a good idea, we will do that so, unless loads more people still want hardcore even though Kami is already catering for hardcore.

I normally use xfire to find servers since the native browser is crap.

How do I enter the server IP (91.186.24.187:28962)
Is through xfire or from the console, if console what is the command?

Its through the console.

Open the console and type

/connect 91.186.24.187:28962

yeh sound ill pop on for a while, havent played cod4 in about 3 weeks, wow has me hooked totally again. what gametype? put it on hardcore deffo, tdm is probably best. gonna password it?

And if there's a password, you don't need to enter two separate commands! Not a lot of people know that apparently...

The command is:

/connect 91.186.24.187:28962; password [password]

Good point... Never thought about TeamSpeak... I have a 10-slot (or is it 11?) TS Server if KamiKazi can't accomodate and enough people are interested. Let me know!

Furthermore, I think we should password-protect the server to make it boards.ie only Kami. What do you think?

Oh and HC is on by the way, it got 14 votes as opposed to 12 for HC off.
So your just gonna to man up Steffano

As for having PAM4 on the server, doubt it will be wanted by the majority but if it is it only takes a few minutes to install.

It was good playing with you guys ( even if I was getting owned alot of the time ), its a shame you guys did not stay around longer. The server was down to 3 people @ 10.15

I enjoyed tonight immensely! I think I would have had more fun had the server not been in Hardcore mode (I really don't like it at all). And I found S&D much too short (First to 3 or 4 I think it was? Only lasted 10 minutes tops!).

Apart from that, it was great playing with you guys!

Thanks again KamiKazi! Can't wait to play on Friday night with Hardcore off!

Yeah it was good, although S&D was too short, I think our server is set up for first to 4, I may increase this though .
