    It's a program that would report back to an irc channel what was going on on the server .

    no, thats a script. Scripts can be run on your IRC client, which is coded in the irc command language thing, or on an eggdrop which gets coded in tcl. If you want a bot, like you stated, you need a server to host it on, or find an eggdrop channel on quakenet where people will rent out eggdrops. They will be windows based or unix. Dont expect any fancy user interface, its like start -> run -> cmd, only even less forgiving.

    Hmm , getting way techie on me now . For BF2 we put a script in our server config , I ran a program on my laptop and it betweent eh two they reported what was happening back to an irc channel .
