By the way, I've set up a different thread here for all of these videos, because I think it saves a lot of clutter to share all the neat YouTube videos in the same thread.

That way, if someone has a free hour, they have something readily available to do

Stravinsky conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Absolutely incredible viewing in my opinion, and a wonderful piece of music indeed.

The clip from Dido was wonderful, a really fresh interpretation (big thanks for that). The Jeff Buckley performance of the Lament also sounds fascinating: any idea where to hear it?

A great (sound-only) version of Beethoven's Waldstein sonata played fabulously by the Russian pianist Emil Gilels (one of my favourite Beethoven pianists, but very unsung on boards.ie):

Love the Waldstein, but the best I've ever heard was Francois-Frederick Guy when I saw him at the National Concert hall. Still, its an impressive piece and anyone who plays it is a hero!

Actually, I keep hearing somebody practicing in college, and I keep meaning to tell them how good it sounds. Who ever it is has that soaring intro down perfectly.

Funky Penguin — Which college do you go to?

I'd learn the Waldstein only it's not worth the effort. Like the Hammerklavier. Well, it WOULD be worth it, but not at this stage when I have enough other things to be learning.
