Mr Alan in fairness you're only saying the CL is a bigger trophy than the PL because Liverpool have won it - its' not and I fully agree with what PHB said - you can get lucky in a cup but the league is the true test and separates the men from the boys, with UTD being the men obviously and Liverpool being the boys :D

If you think Blackburn have had more success than Liverpool since the Premiership began, you're really clueless.
Liverpool: FA Cup wins in 1992, 2001, 2006
    Champions League in 2005
    Uefa Cup in 2001
European Super Cup in 2001 and 2005
    League Cup in 1995, 2001, 2003

    Blackburn: Premier League in 1995
    League Cup in 2002

Thats not even including how many seasons Liverpool have outperformed them in pretty much every competition. Your post was ridiculous at best, and trolling at worst, how does 1 Premiership win have any relevance to who have been the more successful club, which is of course the topic of this thread. I suggest you take those Man Utd coloured blinkers off and start making a slight bit of sense because you're coming off as nothing short of ridiculous.
My post was listing the clubs who've actually won the Premiership in the order of who has won it the most. This post confirms one thing to me and that is that you see what you want to see. i clearly just explained that my post was from a Premiership perspective only, and did not include the Cup competitions, but u chose to ignore that so u could post this rubbish about how i supposedly claimed Blackburn to be more successful than Liverpool. And to call me a troll for it is offensive and shows what kind of fool u are to have ignored the fact that i already explained it was a list of Premiership winners, just so u could get that in.

In fairness Neil my old flower, i simply pointed out that Liverpool are the most successful club ever in England. No denying that. Even by you.
I never have denied that? but dont u think that its a bit funny that u point this out almost every second post u make. Seems u have a complex about how quickly we're catchin up ;)

Now at the top of this post is the post that started this thread, maybe my eyes are acting up, but i see no mention of this being from when the premiership started?

No but the original post i quoted had the part where he analysed it from when the Premiership began. So I discussed this topic from that point of view alone and have since been jumped on by DSB who has now twice ignored my pointing this out to him and continued to insist that I meant Blackburn to be more successful than Liverpool since the PL began when I did no such thing.

Football did not begin with the arrival of the Premier League, as much as Utd fans and Sky might like to have you believe otherwise.
Again just to reiterate, i never said it did. United have a lot more history than 93 onwards mate, as you'll learn about in Feb if u watch the derby. But again, the reason i was talking from a Premiership point of view alone is because I was quoting anohter poster who originally looked at it from that and was elaborating on his point

This thread is about the biggest/most successful clubs in England.

thats us mate, by a mile when you take into consideration that European competition holds the most prestige by a long shot. and we have 5 compared to your 2. me and you'll be in a retirement home when ye reach 5, and thats if ye ever do, which, lets be honest going at the rate you are clocking em up, ye probably wont ;)

    18 + 5 > 16/17? + 2.

    end of that discussion.
    :)
Speaking of going rates, we'll be hittin 30 before u hit 20, then whatll the argument be?! ;)

Again, particularly to DSB, (who by the way if u resort to callin me a troll over this again i will be reporting your post - dont ignore me when I clearly explain my post just so u can throw in the cheap shots, says an awful lot about your character, or lack of), go back and read my posts in this thread and find the one where I quote the guy talking about the records since the PL startd. i took it from a LEAGUE perspective alone and ignored Cup competitions (particularly the League cup!!) and hence how Blackburn made it onto that list ahead of Liverpool. I NEVER claimed Blackburn or United or anyone else to be more successful than Liverpool so drop that argument from now on and keep it on topic and refrain frompointless ****e about my "knowledge of football being nonexistant cos I think Liverpool < Blackburn" and stick to talking about things i actually said.
