Getting online with MGS Portable Ops and Eircom?

    I bought MGP Portable Ops yesterday but for some reason I am completely unable to get online with it. When I select infrastructure and connect to server I get "UDP port check failed Error : p518"

    Any idea what is causing this? Is this one of those annoying instances of an Eircom router making things difficult?

    I had similar problems a while back with MGS:PO and an eircom router. I wasn't able to solve it at the time but i do have a suggestion.

    I was trying to play Call of Duty 4 on xbox live recently and again the eircom router wouldnt let me connect. Then i went into the router settings and completely disabled the firewall. Then i was able to connect. Maybe the same will work for MGS:PO.

    dont disable the firewall just find what ports need to be opened and portforward.com will explain how to open them

    The have forwarded UDP ports 5730-5739. It still won't connect.
