Problem: Eircom in Dunlavin - is 100 yard wireless link possible?

Just talking with friends today, at their wits end because of two houses, less than 100 yards apart in Crehelp belonging to same family one can get broadband and the other, with a line run from different direction cannot. Is there any way of setting up a wireless link over that distance? Reliably? Other ideas?

Sure, 2 Osbridge units should do the trick. One in AP mode and the other in client mode. They run on 5.8Ghz so no ones personal wireless routers or av senders will affect the signal.

Or you can get a pair of Bridge units. Slightly more secure.

100m no problem outdoors on chimney with built in aerials (weather proof plastic box lets the RF through) and Power over ethernet cable adaptor.

With small dish you can easily do 5km.
