Nantes, have played in Ligue 1 since it was formed, think Hamburg have the same record in Germany. Barca and Real same in Spain

Everton have never been relegarted. Only English club to hold that record.

It's often said that Everton have never been relegated, but it just isn't true. They were relegated to the second division in 1931 and came straight back up the following year. They were also relegated in 1951, and came back to the top flight in 1954.

They have spent more seasons in English Footballs top division than any other club (104 out of 109 season in total) and have the second longest unbroken run in the top flight. Arsenal have the longest, as they were promoted in 1919 (under suspicious circumstances) and have not been relegated since.

Infact the real answer is a kind of a trick answer but is still true nonoe the less...

The only 2 teams in the top flight never to have been relegated are Reading and Wigan Athletic, this is because it is the first time either have been in the top flight in their history.

Nantes are currently in D2, having being relegated for the first time since they got promoted in 1963, 30 years after Ligue 1 was established.

Bilbao have never gone down, I think.

I bow to your greater knowledge. You are correct. My info came from (1) a 78y.o. fan who is a season ticket holder for more years than he cares to remember , (2) a table quiz-master who told us in uncertain terms when we queried the point last year !!!

Afaik, Bilbao, Barca and RM have never been relegated in Spain.

Don't think Bayern have been relegated from the Bundesliga 1 though they've only had a national set up in Germany since the 1960s.
