Camera Shops in Dublin

I'm planning on buying a new camera soon, well I have it narrowed down between 2 or 3. Initially I had planned to buy online as prices in Dublin seem to be extortionate in comparison to the net. However I have just come into some vouchers (the any shop kind) and they would pay for a hefty chunk of any purchase. Which means finding the best price in town. I've been in for a look around Conns and the Dublin Camera Exchange. Does anyone have any tips for preferred shopping in town?

I suppose I should be thinking about it as cheaper than online since a good portion of it won't be coming out of my pocket anymore but you know how it goes.

Avoid Conns and camera Exchange, they usually charge over the odds for their stuff (for example, Fuji neopan 35mm film in Conns...about €7....same film in Gunns...about €3 to €3.50. I'm also buying a new camera and Conns are about €600 more expensive than Gunns for it!!!).
Give Gunns a call on (01) 478 1226 and they are more than helpful.

Thanks very much, I will check out Gunns. I walk down Wexford Street every day and I don't remember ever seeing the shop.

I think it's got a "MARKLIN" signage on the front, they do model trains too, although to a lesser extent and MARKLIN is a brand of model railways I guess. Just look for glass windows with cameras in them!

Over the years I've found Halls to be a little overpriced and not as friendly as I wold have liked them to be....again I'll say it.....Gunns are a winner. Family owned and run and they all shoot photos in their spare time rather than working in a camera shop as a job.
