I think the irish DPM is manky looking though, the pattern looks like a child did it with a crayon. the british one looks better. id still get it if it was legal though.,lol

I much prefer the British DPM myself. Favorite pattern. Gotta love how cheap it is too.

Actually that reminds me, I still have to get a British mark 6 helmet. Don't think my mark IV would go with the modern PLCE somehow...

Yeah i remember first seeing them at T4BB and i liked the uniform,.,
I think that might be a different unit of police or maybe an old pic. Ive seen them in full navy with black vest and blue/white chequered strips.,

as far as i know they changed from so19 to co19 ,there is a few different branches of them depending on the situation,

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

yeah thats right, they changed it a while back, think its "central" operations now instead of "special" operations.,

dont like the police load outs .at hrta you stand out like a sore thumb especialy if its black or navy

    i like to be different.,lol,
was just looking up the whole issue of irish DPM there and it seems the problem is that the irish goverment own the intelectual rights to the pattern rather than an objection to the actuall wearing of the stuff. I wonder how that works with the ERU stuff in the sense that there is no pattern to it bar the lettering. Its obviously not acceptable in public but is HRTA concidered a public place? Think ill ask a copper about this.,

its safe as long as it dosent say or have the garda logo on it,ERU wise i wouldnt print it on a jackets just to be safe,

as for the dpm interlectual rights are more less just the copyright to it,
all irish dpm belong to the minister for defence mr O'Dea ,and unless its issued to military personel ,if its in civie hands its classed as recieving stolen goods ,either way not good.

the flecktarn works well out in swords

I had a thought the other day.
It would be nice to have Airsoft shooting range somewhere central Dublin that would be open evenings.
(For the folks with small gardens.)
Also Pistol practice range woudl be very nice.

It also may be a good idea to inform Garda and neighbours of what is going on.

hmmm... site in wicklow now, that makes 5 sites, not too shabby, think that'll do for now though, maybe a site down cork direction, but anymore near dublin would be too much at the moment i think

Surely there's room for an indoor CQB warehouse thingy in Dublin for some weekday evening skirmishing :D I live in hope.

the numbers are just right for the amount of skirmishers at the present,
new site seems easy to get to on public transport

agree with hoplite on the cqb side of things only palyed indoors once

That would be the dogs proverbials all right. Hope this southside Airsoft site gets off the ground. It'll be good to have somthing on the southside in addition to HRTA.
