Need a fretless bass in Dublin music store, or possible Sligo.

I'm looking for a decent fretless bass, or even a bolt on neck for a four string P, already checked Thomann and had no luck, so any ideas?

Or as a last resort someone might PM me instructions on how to rip the frets out of one of my existing basses.

    Any help is appreciated.

Buy a mighty mite fretless neck on Ebay, it'll cost about €100~. Don't pull the frets out unless you know what you're doing. If you don't like it, a refret costs a LOT of money. Whereas if you just swap the necks, you can change back.

I already searched fretless bass on Thomann, about three searches returned, and they were all pretty crap.

Nice bass, its unlined so it'll take a bit longer to get used to as you'll have no lines to rely on, only side dots. Personally I prefer unlined to lined. :)

Thanks! I think I'll probably prefer that once I get used to it too. It looks a pretty sweet bass for that money anyway, one way or the other I need a fretless bass like ya wouldn't believe.

I must remind you though, its mandatory to buy or own a Jaco Pastorius cd when you get a fretless! :D I'd recommend "Word of Mouth" ;)

I already have Punk Jazz :D Plus a guy at the radio station I work in does a jazz show and he's a big Jaco fan so I hear a good bit of him anyway.
