Anyone know if anywhere in Blackrock sells these cheaply?

I looked in xtravision, tesco and D.I.D. in bray yesterday and could only find Monster cables in D.I.D. costing between €60 and €130.. what a joke!

Yeah I'v heard about this infamous Tesco cable, but haven't seen them in either of the two I'v been in! The bray one is pretty big and they only had a couple of Scart leads.. I'l check Tesco blackrock though

    Er.... isn't HDMI digital?

I know quality was very important for SCART connections because it was analog.

But shouldn't any HDMI cable work the same?

Yes your entirely correct.. Which is why I refuse to give in to places charging ridiculous prices when Tesco have been doing them for a tenner! I'v scoured 3 Tesco's, 2 Golden Disc's, 2 Xtravisions, D.I.D., Woodies and about 4 different electronics shop and the cheapest was €30 in Golden Discs which is still way too much IMO.. nowhere except G.D. and D.I.D. had any at all..

If I ask in an electronics shop for a HDMI cable and get "a wha now?" one more time I'm gonna crack.. You think they'd know!

i'm in the same situation, i'll check tesco bray later tonight.

i also went to DID electrical and had a lovely chap telling me that for 130 euros my HDMI cable was gold plated to ensure clearer picture.

how his face dropped when i told him that HDMI are digital and not analog so aren't affected by the same interferance.
