The gig itself was amazing, i really hope that they release it as a dvd as it would be a shame to have to relive that gig through mobile phone or youtube videos

Were there proper film crews present?

The Sun said yesterday that they had EXCLUSIVE information saying a tour was happening next year....... Of course they also said that someone from Scissor Sister was at the concert after "Doing a cover of Zep's song Comfortably Numb"........... Nice research guys

The DVD was actually announced before the show, it'll be another package as part of the Tribute Fund.....

As for a 2008 Tour, I really don't know why the papers and TV/radio Stations are coming out and telling everybody something is happening on the back of rumours, once again none of them have actually heard anything from anyone in the band or related to the band, only think I've heard is that people close to them still think it unlikely......
and the only think I know for sure is that Plant has confirmed with Alison Krauss for a tour early in 2008 and a festival in June in the US - can't remember it's name, but it was June14th and it's in Manchester (whereever that is.....:-) )
It would appear that Jones and Page are well up for it, and of course Jason Bonham has been asking for a tour for years, but it's all down to Plant, and I think he's already enjoying what he's doing solo.......but you never know.....just don't buy into the guy from LiveNation saying he was flying to London with bucket loads of cash to talk to the manager - that's been happening for 20odd years and they've never said yes before......

having rambled on with all that, themselves and AC/DC are the only two bands that I'd suffer Slane for.......

The show was unbelievable, I couldnt believe what I was seeing half the time. Greatest gig I've ever seen.

But.. I cant see them touring...Page looked like he was about to drop dead after the gig was finished..I dont think they could handle a tour. John Paul Jones will be extremely hard to get out on the road. Then again I could be wrong!

Is that the Bonnaroo festival? Odd band/pair to have playing any festival.

Really disappointed I didnt apply for tickets, so stupid. Seemed really good though, but I cant see a tour coming from it. Hopefully I shall be proved wrong.

But, you take into the percentage of people who entered in each country, populations etc. Then you take into account the percentage of winners that are posting here on Boards and it seems to suggest there were a good few Irish winners. Jeez..... Talk about pulling teeth And keep yer " "

That's the one yeah, rumours had been shipped out last week that Zeppelin were confirmed for it, and that was part of the World Tour fuel injection, but he seems to be really happy with the Krauss collaboration so why not tour it.......I guess it's a festival in the right part of the world for that type of music....

From BBC News (I trust a bit more than The Sun :) )
    Plant announces tour with Krauss

Krauss (left) has won more Grammy awards than any other female star
Robert Plant is to tour with country star Alison Krauss, dampening hopes of an immediate announcement that he and Led Zeppelin will tour themselves.
The pair, who released the album Raising Sand in October, will perform across Europe next May and are expected to go on to the US in the summer.

Tickets for their UK shows, beginning in Birmingham, have gone on sale.

Led Zeppelin played their first gig in 19 years in London on Monday, sparking rumours of a full-blown reunion tour.

While guitarist Jimmy Page has indicated his willingness to reform for such a project, singer Plant has always been reluctant to commit.

Fans on Led Zeppelin's official website expressed their disappointment at the news.

"Oh dear - no Led Zep tour in 2008," wrote one, while others likened Krauss to a Yoko Ono-style figure for keeping the band apart.

Raising Sand entered the US Billboard chart at number two and has received critical acclaim.

The European leg of their tour will conclude in London at Wembley Arena on 22 May.

MonstersAndCritics.com reports that LED ZEPPELIN will headline next year's Glastonbury Festival.

The legendary rock group — who played a sensational comeback concert at London's O2 arena earlier this month — will take to the stage for the world-famous musical extravaganza, in Somerset, England, before embarking on an 18-month world tour.

A source close to the band — Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham, who has replaced his late father John Bonham — said: "It will kick off at next year's Glastonbury after Robert has finished touring with American country star Alison Krauss."
