I too have been conned by that Scottish bloke on Eden Quay.

When he came up to me a few weeks later I told him exactly where he could go.

It reminds me of this Scottish bloke that stops people in Dublin, he says that he just came to Ireland and was robbed so he doesn't have any money for a place to stay or food. My sister happened to run into him and becuase she didn't have any money, so told him where he could get a hostel. Then about 6 months later he stopped her again and told her the exact same story, he just got off the plane, was robbed and needs money. She said it must have been a mad coincidence that it's happened to him twice and he ran off down the street.

Everybody who has been in town has met that bloke. I told him to "call your embassy and **** off home if you get robbed on your first day what will happen later?"

bloody hell a similar guy (must of been him) gave me the same sob story, he wanted to no where would there be a hostel and i pointed him the right direction and then he asked me for money, like an eijet i gave him about 3 or 4 euro and about half an hour later i saw him in our local nightclub
and the guy was scottish too

Think the same guy approached me one saturday morning. I was waiting outside work for the shop to open and this guy strolls over. He starts by giving me this story bout how he only got to ireland a few days ago, went to some party at a strangers place and passed out, woke up and the place was deserted and he had his bag and wallets stolen. Asked me for a euro to get a train out to the house he was staying in. I just said 'if its only a euro on the train just ****ing walk it' to which he replied, 'right, go **** yourself so'.
