A prog to churn through Excel files and build a mailing list

I've got a legacy collection of hundreds of different Excel files, with contacts - but many of them are laid out in different formats. I'd like to run a programme through the folder, and end up with one big file of First Name, Last Name and email.

So far, I've found http://www.sobolsoft.com/excelemail/ - which will at the very least pull out all the email addresses.

The reason for wanting to do this is for a Christmas email to contacts, so it would be a lot better to have the name as well - anyone know of a little bit of software that will do that, please?

I found a great piece of software called Xsite

http://www.supershareware.com/download/xsite.html

It'll pull email address and website addresses from any site.

That looks well handy, but for me, I'm looking for something that will extract from local Excel files.

It's easy enough to just parse the email addys, but a lot trickier to set it up to pull names out as well - the prog will have to make some guesses or looks for columns called 'name' or else ask from time to time?
