    Why wouldn't they be? As long as you inform your insurance company, you're covered. If for any reason the engine statistics are changed, you should also notice the Dept of the Environment so they can ammend your log book.

    If your fitting a turbo, just inform your insurance company. There is no law regarding the tuning of cars in Ireland, you can do whatever you like basically once the car is roadworthy. You only need to inform the dept of Environment if you change your engine or engine CC.
