5 working days after Monday = Friday or Monday?

Hey,

Odd question I suppose, but I had an assignment due for last Monday. Late submissions are accepted up to "5 working days after the deadline".

Would this be seen as Friday or the following Monday?

It's quite important that I find out!

it does mean monday, but the person that wrote that could be an idiot. They might mean friday.

i imagine that would mean the following monday. however, seen as though you are already late i would at least double check with whoever you hand it in to. otherwise hand it in on friday.
when i was in collage every assignment was handed in on a friday.
