    Great result.

YES! This weekend has been excellent for my handicap bet. Arsenal need to finish 24 points ahead of Pompey to overtake them on the handicap. Nearly at the halfway stage and there's a 7 point gap. Stephens Day could be the big one, Pompey v Arsenal.

Liverpool and Chelsea are no threat at all. Man Utd only a small threat (they'd need to finish 37 points ahead of Pompey). Man City a big threat (Pompey need to finish 2 points ahead of them). Blackburn a big threat. Everton and Villa threats too but Pompey favourites. The rest can be written off I think.

Kelvin Etuhu folks. The next big thing. He's absolutely destroying Lee on the right he can cross superbly

1-0 Spurs. Completely offside goal and a handball. Wait til you see it.

Now we'll see what Arsenal are made of. Two bad results in a row and Chelski to come on Sunday. Next weekend is going to be somewhat interesting in terms of the title chase. Very interesting.

And Bolton lead Wigan 2-1 in other news.

Oh and both Arsenal and Liverpools unbeaten streak end.

Who'd have thunk it'd be this weekend against the mighty Reading and Boro?

Inspired substitution from Sven. Brings on Bianchi and 3 and a half minutes later the lad scores a bullet header. Come on!

Not watching the game or listening to it etc, but is it inevitable City will equalise like every opposition that play Spurs?

    EDIT: lol too slow

Has Younes Kaboul usurped Titus Bramble for the crown of "I can't believe this lad is a defender!"?

Ireland's just walked for a f*cking disgraceful tackle and now Spurs have scored straight after. *sigh*

    Not about the ball anyway.

Maybe he wanted to finish up early to try on a new thong?

what do people think about what Carlton Cole did when Ooijer went down? Perfectably reasonable i think as to not do it would probably encourage players feigning injury more!!!

also Cole challenging Friedal was perfectly within his right and the two Blackburn players over reacted. why is there not bookings for these players who physically react in retaliation like Samba(i think) did, i remember a certain england player getting sent off for much less.

Goalies are way too protected by the rules anyway. cant even touch em anymore withough conceding a free and being surround by the opposition who act as if you just punched a child...

Chelsea just staying in there quietly, not making any noise. I find it utterly hiliarous that they are now playing like Mourinho used to have them playing before he brought in Ballack and Shevchenko.

There's a 24 page supplement on Ronaldo's greatest dives in the middle of that paper too. His effort yesterday scores high.:)

Just watching MOTD... Middlesbrough played a stormer, it must be said! Created a tonne of decent chances. Great week for Unireh :) Would like draw with Chelsea and Arse next week!

Shocking peno from Anelka...!!! He'd wanna get a goal to make up for that  Jaaskelainen pulling out some great saves here. edit: nice goal from Anelka :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

Stuck in work all day so saw no football until MOTD2.

Eboue should have walked for the slap.

Spurs very lucky with 1st goal, no foul on Berbs+offside+handball. I'd be raging down other end.

Ireland's tackle was an absolute shocker, contrast with Keane's last week in a similar spot on the pitch...

Stephen Ireland apologised to Sven

He should apologise to the lad who's leg he tried to break too.

Horrible tackle, and lucky he didn't catch the standing leg.

I read today that the linesman who was at fault for the offside decision has just returned after 18 months out with a serious illness. Rumours it was blindness are apparently untrue.

He should not have done the tackle but he did it - a week ago Robbie Keane did something similar and was sent off.

Is he fcuking kidding me? Whatever nuttiness Ireland is suffering from appears to be catching at Eastlands...
