Going theere for 9AM to heathrow. Reckon get wrist bands as early as possible. Should be good. Surprised at the amount of Irish people with tickets actually.

Because I assumed the vast majority would go to the US and England

I think you are all horrible mean nasty people discussing how to get there, how lucky you were to get tickets, wristbands arriving etc while the rest of us sit here reading!! Seriously though, how was it? I'm so jealous.

Any word on them playing in Ireland? When's the earliest you can get tickets for slane? I think I'll have to buy tickets for every gig going this year, slane, EP - just in case, wishful thinking!!

    Hi,

I a tad old now ( 47 ) but was lucky enough to see Zeppelin in Knebworth 1979 and Frankfurt 1980. Also the No Quarter Tour in 95

Nothing compares to them. Honest, commited and inspired, they breathe new life into their music every time they play... They never " Fake the Rebel Yell"...or do the human jukebox thing.

Hope To God Slane is on for this Summer. I swore I'd NEVER do SLane again, but for Zeppelin, I'd travel to Hades !!!

Back in the country after the concert... it was a great night they may be older but the magic is still there, they played for over 2 hours and just to see some of the classics live was unbelievable.

Roll on Slane in 2008

It was an incredible experience, i have finally experienced what all the fuss was about all those years ago. It is a different class makes almost every other act i have ever seen look so ordinary.

But, you take into the percentage of people who entered in each country, populations etc. Then you take into account the percentage of winners that are posting here on Boards and it seems to suggest there were a good few Irish winners. Jeez..... Talk about pulling teeth And keep yer " "

Holy crap. What a gig. Amazing. Was about 15-20 feet from stage. Perfect. Sound was great for LZ. Although Bill Wyman seemed a bit pissed off with his sound; The whole cheesefest that was Foreigner; Emerson, Lake and Palmer;spider-roadies; the crowd; even the craic queuing to get in (Although not the queue to get the tickets. That sucked. Think EVERYONE thought the same thing: We'll get there early on Sunday 'cos Monday'll be MAD. Heard people were only queuing a few mins on Monday) Whole thing was awesome. Do you think I should go to the doctor about my bleeding ears or will I just leave it as a memento? Roll on Slane hopefullyhopefullyhopefullyhopefullyhopefullyhopefully

Yep, we got our tickets on monday, arrived at 4 pm and was finished by 4.30 to goto the pub. Though ours was a shorter que (c-d) than alot of the others.

The gig itself was amazing, i really hope that they release it as a dvd as it would be a shame to have to relive that gig through mobile phone or youtube videos
