Jebus after ordering on the 13th of October and them taking the money and me sending emails (thanks to you guys in here giving addresses) Consoleup finally responded to me lastnight, saying it was in the post and should be here in 3-5 working days.
    *sigh* better be!!

finally got it this morning from volumerate. 20 odd days in total, which seems to be the norm :/

Was that 20 odd days from ordering to delivery, or 20ish days in transit?

I ordered one on the 29th of November and it now says they are assembling my order. What are my chances of seeing it in time for Christmas I wonder?

their whole site is down, looks like mail and everything else too.

    PING volumerate.com (211.157.127.41): 56 data bytes
    --- volumerate.com ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

well, that's gone spectactarly bad for me. i looked it up at the weekend, everything was hunky dory, got the guys at work interested and after chatting to everyone i know put in an order for 8 of them for me and the lads with 1gb microsd's etc, 35e each inc shipping all in, 280e altogether.

now it is starting to look like they've done a runner.

if their site isn't back up and i've got a response from them by the time the 'lead time' they claimed is up i'll be contacting my credit card company.

as of now i would highly discourage anyone from ordering from volumerate (if their website ever comes back up) at all.

I was having a problem with the volumerate site a few weeks ago too but then I hit the link on the dealextreme site and bingo I got in. Try that before despair :)
Yup - tried it just there and got in. :):):):)

hmm, thanks for the tip wait4me, i'm in their site now but it doesn't instill me with much confidence all the same.

BTW, slightly OT I know, but did anyone see their fake iphone? http://www.volumerate.com/wholesale/details.vr/sku.5179

A word of warning if anyone is ordering the memory cards from MX2.co.uk,
order placed a week ago and it's still showing as 'promised'.
This means it hasn't even left their warehouse! Look elsewhere is my advice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,074 ✭✭✭rgiller

That's my experience of MX2 as well: slow as **** and bad communications. Maybe play.com is a better option...

Ordered a M3 off supercards yesterday, as the R4 were sold out. Choose EMS, has been shipped and all... just hopefully nothing goes wrong so i can have it before xmas

I'm amazed. I and a few other posters have posted comments on how we ordered the R4 from Supercardsnds and received the order in only a couple of days yet loads of you still insist on using other vendors and complain that they are takin an age to arrive. I mean i'm all for free choice and everything but surely you would go with the people who are having the least hassle as being a good option.

Use dvd.co.uk, i would rate their service as excellent. Very fast dispatch and shipping.

FWIW, never had a problem with anything I've ordered from them and they have usually been the cheapest (with free shipping) for 2GB MicroSD cards.

My last order for this type of memory card:

Ordered 27th Nov, Shipped 3rd, arrived today. Not too bad, but caveat emptor 'n all that! Maybe they're suffering from the www.boards.ie flock of bargain-hunters effect!! :)

Cheers Doodlebug, they replied to my mail this morn and advised the item was out of stock when I placed my order on 29/11 but they hoped to get it
shipped shortly. Historically I ordered memory cards from 7dayshop, but
we all know what they did with their shipping charges! Glad to hear mx2
    are normally fine.
