Uefa probe alleged match fixing

UEFA have confirmed they are investigating 15 matches which may have been fixed.

European football's governing body are working in conjunction with Europol to look into the games.

A UEFA spokesman said the games were all played this season, although they would not say which competitions the matches were played in for fear of affecting the ongoing investigation.

It is reported by German magazine Spiegel that the games concerned could include Champions League qualifiers, UEFA Cup ties and qualifiers, Intertoto Cup games and a Euro 2008 qualifier.

The German magazine Der Spiegel said the majority of teams involved in the allegations were from Bulgaria, Georgia, Serbia, Croatia and the Baltic nations: Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.

now that i think of it they were all dubious goals :eek:

odense should be banned and we get into something that we didnt qualify for !!

It was clear that Holland wanted to lose to avoid being top seeds to try to avoid a group like the one they got.
