Beginner's question: Mac equivalent of autohide taskbar?

    Anyone know how to autohide this thing? Or make it semi-transparent?

    Some one else asked this about 1 week and a half ago or so. I can't remeber the answer but search for it a bit.

    click apple - dock - turn hiding on

    That's not the dock, no idea how to hide the menu bar though.

    I was just guessing, don't see any images.

    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/onyx.html will probably do it.

    Ah! That'd be my fault. I posted last week ( http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055185062 ) as I was rushing out the door, and when I searched for the post (I stuck in my username and hit search) I couldn't find trace of it.

    Sorry for the double post, I'll be more thorough in future.
