Linksys WRT54G/Wireless broadband question

I just have another Linksys WRT54G/Wireless broadband question that
    I hope someone can answer.

Basicially, I have a fixed wireless internet connection which works fine.

I then got a WRT54G and connected the internet connection into the
WAN port with my PC connected to port 1.

Now when I access the connection from a WiFi laptop it all works fine but
access from my PC can be a bit hit and miss and the PPPOE login screen
pops up every few minutes despite having the router set to use PPPOE with
    the username/password.

Is there any additional setting I've left out?

If you have fixed wireless then you shouldn't be using PPPoE.

Thats the way the ISP set it up?

Odd, PPPoE is mostly used for DSL, not fixed wireless.
