I'm going to Liverpool this weekend to watch Everton Vs. Sunderland on Saturday. Has anyone been to many games and can anyone give advice on where to go before the game or after or where to avoid? I'm an Everton fan by the way!

Been to Goodison once, went to one of the local pubs before the game, great atmosfairy. Try asking on the Irish Toffees messageboard, they'll be a good help.

The Red brick(used to be The Prince Albert i think) or The Pacific on County Road are always good for a laugh before and after a game.

County Road which is a 5 min walk from Goodison has most pubs on it so try your luck down there.

You could pop across Stanley Park and check out the LFC museum and trophy room...:p

On a serious note any pub close to Goodison should have a good atmosphere before a game.

Taxi from the city center to the ground is around 6GBP. Ask to be dropped at the Iceland on the bottom of the County Road and take in a few pubs, as you walk along the road the ground will be visible along the side streets to the right.

As Ciaran said above The Brick on the corner County Road and Eton Street is a good spot, newly decorated since the smoking ban and you can stand outside if the pub is too packed and it's not too cold outside. Bookies over the road too.

After the game back to same to wait for traffic to relax, you'll get a taxi on the County Road easy enough.
