It's be nice if we were in a position to make use of such a gentlemans agreement.

Great result for England. Croatia can afford to lose by a goal to England and still stay top. A draw qill do both so I think they should arrange that.

Before last night's game I would'nt have wanted England at the Euro's purely because they've been sh1te and didn't deserve to be there. Now, however, after Russia imploding and Croatia offering a lifeline for top spot they're all as bad as each other and it really makes no difference who qualifies.

All this means though is that the problems that were there over the past few months will be swept under the carpet. Not qualifying would probably do them more favours than actually getting there.

I don't want England to qualify, and I'm not anti-British. I love the Scottish, the Welsh and even the Norn Ironish. I like it when English runners win athletics gold medals at the Olympics. I even watch cricket and hope England win (test matches).

I lived in England for 10 years and I just want them never to win another world cup, or even European Championship at either rugby or soccer. They are absolutely unbearable when they win anything. They are still banging on about winning the World Cup in 1966 with home advantage & some dodgy refereeing. They were even worse when Johnny 'sicknote' Wilkinson (rugby's equivalent of Michael Owen) kicked them to victory in the World Cup.

If England were to win the European Championships then the next 10 years of Sky Sports programming will be dominated by endless reruns of Wayne Rooney's butt-ugly Shrek-cloned grinning face as he dives to win the crucial penalty, John Terry's (I get paid 100 grand a week for abusing referees) hands clutching the trophy, and David Beckham crying because he injured his ankle and missed the final.
