I'm always curious why people think being a mod of an entirely unrelated forum would make a difference in some discussion about fat people?

Because as a mod I figured they'd have more cop-on and realise that a post based on no facts whatsoever is completely ridiculous and a waste of time.

Obviously in her case I figured wrong and found out she's a moron. her post was pointless, unfounded and a complete falsity. The fact that she hasn't replied to my queries as to where she got this information pretty much proves this point.

Not necessarily. have a look in the fitness section.

Weights can help weight loss considerably in women.

    "Big girls you are beautiful"

I think it depends on the person. Some people look well with weight on them and some dont.

But i dont think big girl or small girls think that they are beautiful half as much as they should.

Im not big, I was heavy around 6 years ago (11st, 5ft 3ins) and I did feel unattractive, I lost the weight relatively easily ( I know I was lucky) and I felt alot better.

Im 15 weeks after my second baby now and have around 6lbs left to go before Ill feel really content, but it aint shifting. I had a section so have to tak e it easy too.

But back to topic, Big girls can and are beautiful but it depends on the person.

I know some big girls some obese some morbidly obese who are very attractive but I also know some very obese girls who are not attractive at all but that goes for skinny girls too

Most people think After Hours is completely ridiculous and a waste of time
and where does it say that posters must cite their sources ?

Mods are just posters elsewhere and can post what they want as long as they are willing to suffer the consequences the same as other posters.

Sorry, Farohar, I am a bit upset, because it feels like I'm being ganged up on. I hope you can see that. From where I'm sitting it does feel very much like a personal attack, from some more than others.

Scoobydoobydoo if you feel that way report the posts for being personal attckes of an aserbic and agressive nature.

Indirect insults are still insults. Use this forum as a platform for attacking another user again and I'll give you a lengthy break from this forum.

    Clear?

Fair enough, hope you feel better in no time. Just remember people come in all shapes and sizes your body does not dictate who you are, what you do with it does.:)

As I said, we all come in all shapes and sizes, as such personally I don't think you should put too much faith in scientific studies on optimum exercise patterns as it too will likely vary from person to person. Use them as a guide but not a religion as surely things such as gait, lung capacity, length of specific limbs, etc... will all have their impact on what is the best for you?

Are you not female? If not, my mistake.

No, nobody said you have to cite your sources, especially in after hours. however, if a discussion is ongoing between a number of people do you not think that a completely false statement based on nothing will help the conversation along? If you do think this is the case then.... I heard you're a lonely little loser, with an obvious case of slight mental retardation. It doesn't stop you though, you've a good job packing bags down the local super valu.... that ought to help the constructive conversation along.

Cardio will get the weight off but it won't tone you. And you'd have to be doing a HUGE amount of weights to build up big muscles.

Scoobydoobydoo, don't feel upset. There are some After Hours posters who grab the opportunity to POUNCE on someone who has a different view to them, instead of having a reasoned discussion. It's bizarre how people can take a differing view to their own so personally. I often see people getting stroppy with someone and using the roll-eyes smiley when the statement is written in a perfectly reasonable fashion. However, if someone just makes a plain stupid statement or they're being a troll, fair enough, but there are some posters on Boards who don't see the distinction.

My statement was aimed at GCGirl who seemed to be doubting just a little bit the effectivness of a good resistance training session when it comes to shedding adipose.

Lung capacity, length of specific limbs etc would have some kind of bearing over certain movements and lifts......thats about it.

Yep the bust measurement is in fact the circumference of the torso which means the measurement of the ribcage and shoulder blades and they are never going to shrink from weight loss.

Yea but if you have fat around the ribcage it could obvously shrink from diet.

it will actually if you have a varied multisport routine, you use your muscles during cardio don't you? cycling, running and swimming/rowing often will keep you very fit and toned.

Yes but there comes a point there is no excess fat to loose and if you have a large frame then the size of the ribcage, over lying muscle ect is the size you are and no ammount of dieting or working out will change that infact the chances are that was muscle builds you end up going up a size.

It's simple science really. Burn more Calories than you eat and you will lose weight.

Do you ever notice sometimes a girl's complaining about 'love handles' and actually, they're not love handles at all - her trousers are just too small for her. WHY do people do this???????

Personally I think obese = unattractive, but skinny girls aren't all pretty either.

In fact a lot of them look horsey...

A lot of fat birds try and use that excuse to explain why every time there's a cake in front of them, it disappears.
