    Chair isn't an Irish word as far as I know.

    If you're looking to translate chair into Irish it's cathaoir.

    Has the OP seen the word Chairde mistakenly split into Chair and de perhaps?

    Perhaps it was Chuir and he made a typo?

    Chuir means put (past tense)
