Is it possible to use a Wii on a standard lcd monitor? The monitor i have is an LG 22" widescreen, but it doesnt have S-Video or component connections (only DVI or VGA). Is there maybe a connection that can link them together?

I just dont have a decent tv at the moment, and i would love to be able to play it on the pc monitor in my room.

Option one: buy a component (female) to VGA (male) adapter cable. However, this does not "convert" the signal in the usual sense. It is still a Component signal, and will only work on monitors that have component signal select built into the monitor (as in, you can go into the monitor menu and change the input method to 'component' while still using VGA). Example. Option two seems to be more common though...

Option two: Buy a Component-to-VGA transcoder. Transcoders actually transform the video signal from Component to VGA. These have been available for a while, but they are rather pricey. The two best deals I have found are the Vdigi and the X2VGA2. Both have their ups and downs: The X2 is capable of displaying in limited 480i so you don't have to switch video inputs like a madman, but the Vdigi supports audio without using RCA splitter cables. Both are under $70. These are reported to work in MOST CRT or LCD monitors.

Option three: buy a TV tuner card and patch it through the PC. The main downside to this method is that you would be most likely using S-Video, so the quality won't be as impressive as component.
