nokia e65 contacts not showing

probably a simple solution.. when texts arrive they dont link to the numbers saved in my contacts.. so the number just shows.. even though all the numbers are in my phonebook.. imported from old nokia thru pc.. some do show though for some reason.. most dont.. tried everything

Are there duplicate entries? For example, if you had in your phone book:

bonkers 1234
Bonkers2 1234

Neither would show up. Same goes for entries with the same name.

Also it does not seem to like phone numbers with spaces in which it what all of my contact numbers had when I synced them from Outlook.

thanks.. i think its old text messages not showing up since i added the contacts..

any tips on x-series applications would eb great.. new to this
