    I got a D-Link DI-524 of a friend to use at home.

It says on the box it's a router but i cant see a connection point for my phone line, only ports for a Lan cable. Is this because is a cable modem and not adsl?

Is it still possible to use the d-link as a access point so i have wireless in the house and that i connect it to my bt router with a lan cable?

I've done the setup guide and looked trough the various menu's but can really make sence of how to do the above.

    Any help appreciated,
    Jozi

You need to put your bt modem into bridge mode (see FAQ) and configure the DLINK to handle the connection settings in place of the modem. The connect the two devices together using a LAN cable.
