Can i use digibox in Sky multiroom without phone connection all the time? [I want to use FTV card at times]

This is a good question, I would think the the card is polled along with the box, so it probably is a good idea to disconnect the phone line. if sky continually poll the box without the phone line they will eventually remove the multiroom fee and charge the full fee. but the chances of you watching and getting polled every time is slim.

I am open to correction on this though.

I suggest you buy a separate box for the FTV Card. Otherwise you may damage the card or card reader by constantly removing card from digibox.

If you disconnect from the phone line while using your FTV card it will cause no problems whatsoever. Just remember to replace the phone line when re-inserting your Irish card, ie don't leave it unplugged for days at a time!
